How to Connect Xbox 360 to a Wireless PC Dongle

Things You'll Need

• Xbox 360
• Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver
• PC laptop or desktop with Windows OS and powered USB 2.0 port

Instructions

1. Turn on your Xbox 360 and allow it to load to the menu screen. Do not start a game, play a video or run other media at this time.

2. Insert the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver's USB cable into your computer's USB 2.0 port. You may also use an external USB hub as long as the ports are powered.

3. Run the installation software that comes with the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver. Insert the included CD into your Xbox 360. Follow all instructions including prompts for your Xbox Live information. You will be able to use and access your Xbox 360 through your computer after the software installation wizard completes.

Tips & Warnings

• Using the installation software disc may not be necessary if your Xbox has been updated since October 28, 2009. The software update from that date loads the installation materials onto the Xbox.
