Make your own audiobooks. Write a simple 10 or 20 page story onto decorative paper. Draw colorful pictures to match your story. Stack and bind the left hand edge of each page with glue --- into book form. Record an audio CD of you verbally repeating the story. Use energy and bold inflection to keep the child captivated while listening. Give the child the homemade book and CD to use when learning at home or for keeping him occupied during road travels.
