How to Design a Spors Bar Menu
You do not have to be a professional graphic designer to design a sports bar menu, if you have Microsoft Publisher or Microsoft Word on your computer system. Creating a menu utilizing either of these Microsoft Office programs is accomplished with the help of Microsoft's handy design wizard or pre-made templates found online free. You can even use your own personal pictures or graphics to customize the menu even further to fit your sports bar. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

1
Open Microsoft Publisher. Click on "New" found under "File" on the menu bar, if the Microsoft Publisher Catalog (Design Wizard) does not open automatically.
-
2
Go down the list of available Wizards and select "Menus" to view templates obtainable. Use the scroll bar to see the various designs.
-
-
3
Select one of the menu designs offered, but do not be concerned if you cannot find an exact match. Choose one that is similar to the design you want, since you can alter it for your sports bar later.
-
4
Click on "Start Wizard" to begin. Notice the menu displayed on the right. Changes you select throughout the wizard will immediately be seen there. This gives you an ongoing idea of the menu design.
-
5
Click on "Next" to begin customizing your menu layout. Choose a color scheme to use. Find one that matches (blends with) your sports bar theme or other publications you already have printed, such as business cards, flyers or brochures. If your bar is associated with a specific team, use the team colors in your menu design.
-
6
Click "Next." Decide on the size you want the bar menus to be. Click "Next" again.
-
7
Choose the "personal information" you need to include from the list (Primary or Secondary Business, Home/Family or Other). If you have not previously used your sports bar information (name, address, web address and so on) in any Microsoft Office programs, you will need to add it now. Edits can be easily made to any of the details through clicking on the "Update" button.
-
8
Click on "Finish" to view the completed menu. Return to any parts of the wizard to change your selections by picking it from the list on the left.
-
9
Look over the menu. Click on the areas of it that list the food/drink items and prices.
-
10
Type the specific details of your sports bar drinks and food in the corresponding places. Double check the entire menu for any words spelled incorrectly and verify all prices twice.
-
11
Make any desired changes to the menu design through selecting the area and editing it. Remove any parts you do not need by picking it and then deleting it.
-
12
Use the "Text Frame Tool" (for text), the "Clip Gallery Tool" (for graphics/clip art) or the "Picture Frame Tool" (for pictures) to add additional features to the menu design.
-
13
Place pictures of actual food items you have near the listing of them on the menu. Think about including a picture of the outside of your bar or the main entrance on the top or front of the menu.
-
14
Move items around using your mouse. Print one copy and check it over for any edits needed. Print menus as needed.

Tips & Warnings
Use the available menu templates online at Microsoft Office Online, if you do not like the ones supplied in the program. Verify the template you choose matches the version of Word or Publisher that you have, such as Word 97, Publisher 2007 and so on.
Find pictures or graphics to put in your menu at Microsoft Office Online, if you do not have any of your own to use. (See Resources Below)
Use pictures and graphics in your menu design that are related with sports bars, such as cocktail drinks and beer bottles or footballs and baseballs. Include pictures of your staff or customers for a more personalized menu.
Remember to save a copy of your sports bar menu for future use. If you make any changes to the design, make sure you save it again.
