Select a backdrop for your centerpiece. A popular choice for this party includes white linen with a multicolored serape table runner. A blue, red or green tablecloth with a brightly colored bandanna in the center of the table also works well.

Use items related to Mexico as your centerpiece. For example, place a couple plastic maracas in the middle of the table as a centerpiece. Or use a basket filled with green, red, orange or yellow peppers. A bowl with limes, red onions and tomatoes also can add color to your tablescape. A small piñata can add festive flair to the table.
