How to Make a Picture of a Skateboard Using Letters
Letters can be used for more than spelling words. Entire pictures can be made using letters. Each unique shape of a letter can be combined to create larger images.
Skateboarding fans can create an image of a skateboard using this same process. The image can be simple and made with a word processing program or crafted with letters from magazines or craft supplies. Once arranged, the image of a skateboard will be visible and can be placed on display as a piece of word art.

1
Gather together the letters you will be using to create the skateboard picture. You can cut letters out of a magazine, or use paper letters bought at a craft store. Use bigger letters to create a large image or smaller letters to create a small image to display.
-
2
Arrange the letters as follows: an uppercase backwards "D" or a "C" followed by five uppercase "I's" and then another uppercase "D." The letters should create the skateboard deck like this: CIIIIID.

3
Place four lowercase "o's" underneath the deck in two pairs. Separate the pairs so that there is space in the middle. For example they would be arranged as: oo oo. These letters form the wheels.
-
4
Attach the letters onto a sheet of paper or a poster board depending on the size of your picture. Use a small amount of glue under each letter to affix them in place.
-
5
Be creative. Add additional details to your picture, such as a skater on the board or place the board in a skate park. Use letters to create additional objects and people.
