How to Give a Flower Seed Planting Poem as a Gift
Flower seeds are an environmentally friendly gift that will grow and add beauty to the home or garden of the recipient. Giving flower seeds alone as a gift is thoughtful, but if you want to add an even more personal touch, you could give flower seeds accompanied by a poem about gardens or flowers. If you are interested in creating a beautiful gift out of an ordinary but useful packet of seeds and a poem, you'll need to know how to package it creatively.

1
Fill your plastic storage bag with potting soil, and place it into the flower pot.
-
2
Cover the bag of soil with dried Spanish moss, which you can find at any craft store in the floral section.

-
3
Lay a flower seed packet on top of the Spanish moss, and stick a garden spade behind the packet so that the handle sticks out of the pot.
-
4
Open your word processing program on your computer, and type out a poem. If you do not want to write it yourself, use one that has already been written, and credit the author at the end of the poem. For poems, see resource 1.
-
5
Print your poem onto a sheet of 5-inch-by-7-inch card stock, and tuck it between the seed packet and garden spade.
