Caulking is typically used around bathtubs and sinks, however it can be used around a variety of other items to protect from water and air leaks. The caulking though can eventually develop mildew and other mold. - Caulk remover
- Razor blade
- Needle nose pliers
- Painter's five-in-one tool

Apply a caulking remover on the caulking. This is a chemical product used to loosen the bond between the caulk and the product it is attached to. You can purchase this product from most home improvement stores.

Allow the caulk remove to sit for a few minutes, then cut through the caulk with a razor blade.

Pull the caulk off of the trim with your hands. However if you find it to difficult to do with your hands you can use a pair of needle nose pliers.

Scrape the remaining debris left over from the caulk with the hook end of a painter's five-in-one tool. This can be found in the painting department of most home improvement stores.
