How to Repair a RAW Format Flash Disk
Flash memory cards, such as an SD flash memory card, are typically formatted so that they will be automatically recognized by the Windows operating system. However, a flash memory card that is in the RAW file format may work in a device, such as a camera, but may not be recognized properly by Windows. You can repair a flash memory card, so that it will be recognized by Windows, by formatting the card.

Plug the flash memory card into your computer. You can insert the memory card into the correct slot if you have a memory card reader, or you can use an adapter.

Wait for your system to recognize the memory card.

Go into My Computer from your desktop and right click on the removable drive for your flash memory card.

Select "Format" from the context menu, and a "Format Removable Disk" dialog box will appear.

Click the down arrow for the File System and choose the option to use for the memory card. If your memory card is 4 gigabytes or less, use the option for FAT 32.

Leave the Quick Format option unchecked and then click the "Start" button.

Click the "OK" button when the dialog box appears with a warning message. The message will say that "Formatting will erase ALL DATA on the disk."

Wait for the process to finish and then click the "OK" button when the "Format Complete" dialog box appears.

If you do not have an adapter for your flash memory card, you can purchase an adapter online.
If your computer system is not recognizing your memory card, it may not be functioning correctly and will need to be replaced.
