How to Make Chamomile, Calendula and Rose Facial Cleanser
Chamomile, calendula and rose facial cleanser is a simple, easy to prepare homemade facial cleanser that will add necessary, beneficial moisture to dry skin. This facial cleanser is good for all skin types in the cool fall and winter months when high winds and low temperatures sap the moisture from otherwise healthy skin. This recipe makes enough facial cleanser for about one week of daily use, and can be easily doubled for two people. Chamomile, calendula and rose facial cleanser will keep for about one week. Things You'll Need
- 2 tbsp. dried chamomile flowers
- 2 tbsp. dried rose petals
- 2 tbsp. lemon rind
- 2 tbsp. dried calendula
- 1 tbsp. bee pollen
- 1 cup boiling water
- ¼ cup aloe vera gel
- ½ cup vegetable glycerin
- 2 tbsp. raw honey
- 10 drops vitamin E oil
- 4 drops rose essential oil

Place the dried chamomile flowers, rose petals, lemon rind, calendula and bee pollen in a large glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.

Pour the boiling water into the jar and cover. Let the mixture steep for 22 minutes.

Strain the mixture using a fine-mesh sieve, reserving the liquid in a clean saucepan or jar. Discard the solids.

Transfer the reserved liquid to a blender and add the aloe vera gel, vegetable glycerin, raw honey, vitamin E oil and rose essential oil. Blend on high for one minute.

Pour the mixture into a clean jar with a tight-fitting lid. Let the mixture cool to room temperature before first use.

Tips & Warnings
Shake the facial cleanser gently before each use, as the ingredients tend to separate.
Store the mixture in the refrigerator between uses to keep fresh.
Avoid mixing or storing any type of homemade skin or hair care products in an aluminum container, as there is serious concern about heavy metals entering the bloodstream through the pores.
