Buy the spray version of a cologne. The spray bottle does not expose the product to light and air the way a bottle that opens at the top will. If you do buy a bottle that opens, be sure to close it tightly after every use.

Buy cologne that comes in a dark-glass bottle. Green or other dark-colored glass will protect the product from light better than clear glass.
