How to Make Celery Juice Without a Blender
Celery juice is sometimes overlooked. Carrot juice and wheatgrass juice seem to snag most of the attention. But celery's high water content and delicate flavor make for a beverage that is tasty on its own, or blended with other juices. Making your own juice--with choice celery stalks--is one way to ensure your beverage is as fresh and nutritious as possible. Instead of a blender, you can select a juicer from among many available brands. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Choose a quality celery bunch. You will want to find celery that boasts a healthy, light green color. Pick up the celery and examine it. If the stalks look or feel dry or soft, pass on that bunch. Firm, straight stalks are ideal.
-
2
Wash the celery stalks well by rinsing in cold water. Yes, everyone knows celery is grown in the earth, but almost no one likes grit in their juice. Be sure to rinse off all visible dirt or mud, paying special attention to the inner stalks.

3
Place the stalk in the juicer's chute. Depending on the depth and width of the chute, you may need to cut the celery stalks into pieces to make them fit.
-
4
Turn on the juicer's power and press the celery stalks or pieces downward with the tamper. Using a tamper is safer than using your hands, as juicer blades are sharp.
-
5
Add and tamp down more celery until you have extracted as much juice as you want.
