How do I Convert the Dollar to Rubles?
International markets, such as business that is conducted between the United States and Russia, create the need for currency conversion rates. One U.S. dollar does not equal the value of one Russian ruble. The value of any given currency is ever-changing, and will continuously fluctuate in relation to the currencies of other countries. This value is determined by factors such as the supply of and demand for the country's currency. Open your web browser and use a search engine to find a currency converter that is up to date, since currency values will fluctuate and old information may lead to an inaccurate calculation. Three popular conversion websites are XE Universal Currency Calculator, OANDA, and X-rates Currency Calculator (see Resources), which provide additional financial data such as the market trend for various currencies. The following steps can be used for all three websites.

Select United States Dollars as the currency you want to convert from, and then select Russian Rubles as the currency you want to convert into.

Click the "Calculate" button once all the information has been entered. This will show you the amount in Russian rubles that is equal to one U.S. dollar.

Multiply the number you calculated in step four by the amount in United States dollars you want to convert into Russian rubles.
