1
Dress in layers for unpredictable weather. When you put your child in layers--a long sleeved shirt over a short sleeved one and a sweater over that--she'll be able to take clothes off or put them on based on her comfort level.
-
2
Cover up your child's legs. It's no longer the time for shorts, so start to put your child in pants. If you have a little girl that likes wearing skirts and dresses, be sure that she stays warm with tights.

3
Use thermal underwear on cold days. If you're expecting cold weather, put on an extra layer with thermal underwear. This will keep her toasty warm.

4
Buy shoes that are warm and weatherproofed. You may expect some rain or snow in the fall which can make the ground wet and muddy. A sturdy pair of shoes will keep your child's feet warm and dry.

Choose fall colors for mix-and-match ease. When you purchase a fall wardrobe for your toddler, choose clothes in fall colors--browns, tans, reds, oranges and yellows. You'll be able to easily match one piece of clothing with another to make different looks.

Tips & Warnings
Allow your toddler to help make choices about what she wears. If you don't like her choosing an outrageous outfit, at least let her pick between to that you choose for her.
