How to Remove Colortyme PC Rental Agent Software

Colortyme Rental is a company located throughout the United States that allows you to rent electronics and eventually purchase the product, if you choose. One of the electronic pieces you can rent is either a desktop or laptop computer. The computer typically comes just as it would if you bought it from a store. There may be some additional software installed onto the system by a store agent. This software can take up valuable memory space so it may be in your best interest to remove the programs as quickly as possible.

Instructions

    • 1

Power on the computer and click the "Start" button in the lower left corner of the desktop. In later versions of Windows the "Start" is replaced with the Windows logo.

    • 2

Select "Control Panel" from the "Start" pull-up menu. This brings up the Control Panel window.

    • 3

Double-click "Add or Remove Programs" from the list of items. This opens a second, smaller window and lists all of the programs currently installed on the computer.

    • 4

Scroll through the list of programs until you find software installed by the Colortyme staff. Select it, then click "Remove." Much of the software is for display purposes at the store to show some of the functions of the computer. Look for programs like small video games, trial word processor applications and even programs for hardware (such as printers and scanners) that you do not own.

    • 5

Click "Yes" when asked if you are sure you want to remove the program. After a few moments the computer will state it has completely removed the program from the computer.
