How to Connect an iPod to a GMC Truck
If you own or lease a GMC truck, you may want to connect your iPod to the stereo system inside the vehicle. There are a couple of fast, easy ways to do that.

1
On the stereo system of your GMC truck, look for a small auxiliary port. The port is the same size as the headphone jack on your iPod. Newer GMC vehicles are likely to have this port, but vehicles more than a few years old might not. If your vehicle has a port, connect the 3.5-millimeter, double-sided male cable into it and the other end into your iPod. Power on the truck and the iPod and set the car stereo to "Aux." You can now play music over the car speaker system using your iPod.

If your vehicle doesn't have an auxiliary port, remove the cigarette lighter from the power port.

3
Insert an iPod car adapter into the power port. This adapter allows your iPod to play through the FM radio of your GMC truck
-
4
Connect the other end of the iPod car adapter into the bottom port of your iPod.
-
5
Power on the truck and the iPod. The car adapter automatically powers on when it is inserted into the power port.

Adjust the FM radio until you find a signal not in use by a radio station in your area. Take note of the station number and set your iPod car adapter to the same station. Control and play music with your iPod just as you would with headphones, except the music will play through the car speaker system. As you drive, you might need to adjust your FM radio to a different frequency that is not receiving a radio signal in your area.
