How to Highlight Brown Hair for Men

Highlight kits for men are available. Even short hair can be highlighted. It's easier to use a cap for putting highlights in shorter hair, rather than using than foil. When highlighting hair, it's good to have someone help you out so you get an even dye job. Various hair colors are available for men. In addition to shades of blond, brown and red, gray is also available. Choose a shade that is a couple of shades lighter than your natural hair color.

Things You'll Need

• Hair dye kit
• Highlight cap
• Hooked needle
• Towels
• Gloves

Instructions

1. Wash and comb out your hair.

2. Place a towel around your shoulders.

3. Put the cap over all of your hair. Use the needle to pull strands through the holes.

4. Mix the hair dye. Use the brush in the kit to paint the dye on the strands of hair.

5. Let the dye sit for the time stated on the instructions.

6. Remove the cap.

7. Use the brush to touch up areas that couldn't get through the cap. Rinse out your hair.
