Allow your eyes to heal, if they have not already done so. Performing any kind of tattoo removal before your eyes have fully healed from the micropigmentation procedure can cause irritation, further swelling and even scarring.

Talk to your dermatologist about methods of removal. There are a number of ways you can fade permanent makeup, but not all of these methods are safe, especially when taking into consideration the area that you are treating. While dermabrasion and salabrasion, for example, may be able to remove tattoo ink, these methods can be far too harsh to use on or around the eyes. Your dermatologist could also perform an acid peel, which in some cases can help to lift the ink from the skin.

Spend more time out in the sun. Sun exposure hastens the fading of tattoo ink. While it's not recommended that you spend hours baking in the sun unprotected, spending an extra hour or two outside each day while wearing an SPF of at least 30 can help to fade your permanent eye makeup faster.

Talk to a board certified plastic surgeon about getting laser tattoo removal. Laser tattoo removal is considered the most effective method of removing unwanted tattoos. Because you're dealing with a sensitive area, you'll want to make sure you select a surgeon who is knowledgeable and has a good reputation. Improper use of lasers can cause scarring, so make sure your surgeon has the proper training for the procedure. Also keep in mind that laser tattoo removal can take several treatments before the makeup is significantly faded.
