How to Pose for Glamour Photos

One of the differences between regular photo shots and glamour shots is that the glamour photos bring out a side of you that may otherwise be hidden to others. Many professional photographers also refer to this as creating an "Alter Ego." You essentially get to step out of your comfort zone and become another person. Before taking your glamour shots, you should have your hair and makeup done by a professional makeup artist to ensure you look your best. You should also bring several outfit changes just in case you or the photographer want to change up the look a bit.

Instructions

    • 1

Don't be shy. Instead, be confident with your poses. If you are not confident, it will show in your photos.

    • 2

Pretend as if you are in a room by yourself and nobody is watching. Just do you. This can also take away some of the nervousness. If music is playing in the background, feel the music and move to the music naturally.

    • 3

Over exaggerate your "Still Poses." The still poses are poses where you actually pause for a moment as opposed to "Moving Poses" like dancing and jumping. It may feel awkward naturally as you exaggerate the still poses, but it won't appear awkward on camera.

Talk with your eyes in the photo. An easy way to practice talking with your eyes is to get in front of a mirror and think of different thoughts. Then use your eyes to indicate what you are feeling. For example, a raised eyebrow can indicate seriousness. Looking down or looking to the side with your eyes can indicate you are in deep thought.

Turn your head slightly away from the camera while looking back at the camera with your eyes. Tilt your chin downwards while doing this pose to give off a sexy and seductive vibe.
