Fiberglass doors are stylish and highly durable. Making a perfect addition to any home decor, the doors can create a modern elegance for a fair price. Cleaning the fiberglass doors is an easy task, requiring just a few simple household ingredients. By using ingredients you have on hand in the home, each cleaning will cost just a few cents. When compared to the high price of retail cleaning products, a homemade solution is by far the best cleaning option.
Things You'll Need
- Spray bottle
- Dish detergent
- Baking soda
- Cleaning cloth
In a spray bottle, pour two cups of warm water followed by two tablespoons of liquid dish detergent (or about two squirts from the bottle). The detergent will clean all residue and debris, while leaving behind a spot-free, streak-free shine.
Add one-fourth cup of baking soda, which will add an extra cleaning element to the solution. Baking soda also has deodorizing qualities, perfect for areas of the home that can sometimes carry an odor.
Twist the cap onto the spray bottle, and lightly shake to dissolve and combine ingredients.
Spray the homemade cleaner directly onto the fiberglass doors, and wipe clean with a dry cleaning cloth. Repeat until you have achieve the result desired.
Tips & Warnings
- Keep the spray bottle and extra cleaning solution with your housekeeping supplies, making for quick access as an all-purpose cleaning solution for fiberglass surfaces.
