Instructions

    • 1

Pick up some nice paper like I did from Paper Source for an unusual place card. Paper Source has great, heavy wrapping papers, which makes them perfect for crafts such as this. Look for patterns and colors that correspond with your table's color scheme. Be careful of what color you choose, because it can also blend in too much with your tablecloth. You want the leaf to stand out! I chose a pattern that has some gold in it, which looks great with my gold-trimmed plates.

    • 2

Print out a fall leaf online like I did, and then trace the shape onto the back of decorative paper. Cut it out and place it under clear glass dishes (see Resources below for leaf templates).

    • 3

Make place cards with your guests' names written on each leaf. You can place these under the glass dishes or on top or your dinnerware. It is also fine to leave your leaf blank, especially if there is an intricate pattern or texture to the paper.

Cascade paper leaves of different shapes and sizes down the center of the table. Simply print out a variety of fall leaf templates in different scales.
