How to Add or Change a Scene Name on Flash

Adobe Flash uses scenes to provide an extra level of organization for the user. This can be useful if you are creating a project with distinct parts. For example, in an animated movie, you could have 3 scenes: "Intro Credits," "Movie" and "Final Credits." Each scene has its own Timeline (group of Frames), however the frame number in a new scene always starts off from the previous scene's ending frame.

Things You'll Need

  • Adobe Flash CS4 Professional
  • Run Flash by double-clicking the Flash shortcut on the desktop.

  • Choose "New Flash CS4 Document" and click "OK."

  • On the top panel, click Insert->Scene to add a scene. This can also be done by clicking the "Add Scene" button in the Scene panel.

  • Double-click the scene name in the scene panel. Enter a new name and press enter to change the scene name.
