  1. How to Fix Scratched XBox Video Games

    • 1

Apply toothpaste to the scratched surface of the disc and spread it around the surface. You don't have to completely cover the surface, but make you sure get a good amount of coverage on the most heavily scratched areas.

    • 2

Spread a liberal amount of peanut butter directly on top of the toothpaste, covering the most heavily scratched areas.

    • 3

Using a paper towel and a little bit of pressure, work the peanut butter and toothpaste into the surface of the disc. Don't press too hard; just buff the disc enough to get it clean or you might end up with more scratches. You want the tiny particles in the toothpaste and peanut butter mixture to get into those scratches.

    • 4

Apply a new layer of toothpaste and peanut butter, working the surface with just enough pressure to cover the surface evenly.

    • 5

Using another paper towel, start polishing the disc clean. It might be a little more difficult to get the toothpaste and peanut butter off this time, but make sure to use only light, vigorous pressure as you buff out the scratches. Rinse any of the remaining toothpaste and peanut butter off the disc using warm water. Allow the disc to air-dry or use another paper towel.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not press too hard when cleaning off the disc. Too much pressure can create more scratches.
