How to Remove Things From the Google Search Bar
The Google search bar, also known as Google Toolbar, is a popular browser add-on. In addition to having a convenient Google search box, you can customize the toolbar with features and buttons. If these features and buttons are cluttering your browser, you can remove them with ease. You can also remove individual search terms from your search history.

Removing Google Features and Buttons

Click on "Settings" at the top-right part of your Google Toolbar. Click on "Options."

View the currently installed features (bookmarks, spell check, autolink, etc.), which are marked with a check mark. Click on the check mark to disable the feature(s) you want to remove.

Click on "Buttons" at the top part of the options menu. View the buttons currently displayed on your Google Toolbar (Google Maps, News, Dictionary, etc.). Deselect the item(s) you want to remove.

Click "OK" when you are finished. The items should be removed from your Google Toolbar.
Removing History Items

Click on the "Down" arrow next to your Google Toolbar search box. This allows you to view recent searches you have performed.

Browse through the search terms, using the sidebar scroll tab, until you find the particular search term you want to remove.

Move your mouse over the term to highlight it. Press the "Delete" button on your keyboard to remove it from your toolbar search history. Delete as many search terms as you like.

You can also delete your entire Google Toolbar search history. After clicking on the "Down" arrow, scroll down and choose "Clear Search History."
