How to Download Maps on an iPhone
It's a rare occasion when you'll find the need to pull out your Thomas Guide to find your way around in today's wired society. There are smart phones all around us to do the job, but perhaps one of the easiest to work with is Apple's iPhone. Google maps is one of the most popular web mapping service applications on the Internet and is readily available with iPhone. However, you can find other free and fee-based applications from other providers that include features such as: prices, nearest gas stations, local events, etc.

Using Google Maps

Search for "Maps" icon on the iPhone desktop. Tap to open.

Click on the GPS icon on bottom left side of Google Maps to set your current location.

Enter address in search field to plot directions.
Download Maps via iTunes

From your computer, access the iTunes store.

Enter "Maps and Atlas" in the search box to your upper right.

Choose from the directory of applications available and download to buy.

Plug your iPhone into your computer with the USB cord.

Sync your iPhone with iTunes to retrieve the downloaded application.

Open App Store from your iPhone and type "Maps and Atlas" in the search field.
