Things You'll Need:
- Aluminum foil
- Yellow squash
- Salt and pepper
-
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Cut a piece of aluminum foil into a long rectangular shape. The size will depend on how much yellow squash you have.
-
Step 2
Slice the yellow squash into rounds about a half-inch thick. Place them in the center of the foil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper (to taste).
-
Step 3
Pull the two long sides of the aluminum foil together and roll, as you would if you were closing a sandwich bag). Roll of each side of the foil so you end up with a foil packet. Make sure the ends are sealed tightly.
-
Step 4
Place the packet on middle rack in the preheated oven. Bake the squash for 10 to 15 minutes, or until squash is tender.
-
Step 5
Remove the squash from the oven. Carefully open the packet to release steam. Transfer the squash to a serving bowl, and pour any juices from the packet into the bowl with squash.
