After you've gotten movies from the Internet, it's a good idea to transfer, or "download," them onto a disc, like a CD-ROM. This process is called "burning." To do this you'll need the right software. If you have a different kind of disc, then there are other methods.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blank disc
  1. Step 1

Locate the movie file you wish to download to a disc. If you want to transfer it to a floppy disk, then insert your disk into your floppy disk drive, which is usually called "A." Then right-click on the file and select "send to." This will transfer the movie to your disk, if there is enough room on it.

  2. Step 2

Download a burner program if you wish to transfer your movie to a blank CD-ROM. Examples include Nero and Deep Burner (see "Resources"). Click on the link below, which will take you to the download site. Click on "Download Now."

  3. Step 3

Wait for the program to finish downloading its installation file onto your computer. Open this file and follow the instructions to complete the installation. When it's finished, hit the button to exit. This should start your program.

  4. Step 4

Insert your blank disc. Click on the "data disc" option in the program. Click on "add file" or something with similar wording. Add your movies by finding them in this browse window and double-clicking on them. When finished, click on the "Next" or "Burn" button to begin burning the movies to your disc.
