Headlight lenses are the clear plastic covering placed over the headlight bulb. The lenses can become hazy through oxidation, discoloration, and scratches due to wear and tear. Hazy lenses prevent your headlights from projecting brightly on the road. Cleaning your lenses with a special product is easy and will remove the haze from your headlight lenses.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Drill with buffer attachment
  • Microfiber towel
  • Headlight lens cleaner
  1. Step 1

Attach the buffer attachment to your drill. It is better to use a small buffer, because a typical car buffer is too large to clean the headlight lenses. Put a quarter size drop of headlight lens cleaner on the buffer pad. You can use any brand of headlight lens cleaner.

  2. Step 2

Place the buffer attachment on a headlight lens and turn on the drill. Buff the cleaner into the lens for about one minute.

  3. Step 3

Use a microfiber towel to buff the cleaner off of the lens. The haze should be removed and the plastic should be free of scratches.
