Pour the drain cleaner into the drain and allow it to work according to product instructions. Rinse the drain with clear water after the product stands in the drain and you should notice a reduction in unpleasant odors coming from the drain.

Heat 1 gallon of water to nearly boiling and add 1 cup of chlorine bleach. Pour the diluted bleach down the drain carefully to disinfect and clean the drain. Repeat this process once each week to keep the drain clean.
