How to Find Free Printable Tax Forms

IRS Form 1040 is one of many forms you can download directly from IRS.gov.

The Internal Revenue Service website provides access to all IRS tax forms. Once you receive your W-2s and 1099s for the previous year, download and print the forms you need to file your taxes.

Instructions

1. Go to IRS.gov.

2. Click on the "Forms & Pubs" link.

3. Select the 1040 form you use to file your taxes, i.e., Form 1040, Form 1040-A, Form 1040-EZ, etc.

4. Click on that form and hit your "Print" button.

5. Hit your browser's back key and select the "Instructions" link next to the form you just printed. Print that.

6. Read through your Form 1040 instructions to see what other forms you need to file your taxes, including any Form 1040 schedules.

7. Click on the link of each form/schedule and print it.
