Things You'll Need:
- Trash can box
- Paint
- Wallpaper
- Trash can island
-
Step 1
Use the cabinets. The most simple solution is to put the trash can under a counter in the kitchen cabinets. In order to do that, there has to be a cabinet with enough space to accommodate the trash can.
-
Step 2
Try the pantry. If there's a pantry in the kitchen, put the trash can in there. Whether it's a closet pantry or a walk-in pantry, there's room enough for a small kitchen trash can.
-
Step 3
Buy a box. Use an upright trash can storage container to conceal the can. Paint it the color of the kitchen cabinets to make it appear part of the cabinets.
-
Step 4
Blend it in. Use the kitchen's decor to made the trash can blend into the room. Paint it to match the walls, or cover it with matching wallpaper to help it stay invisible.
-
Step 5
Buy an island. There are kitchen islands made with trash can concealers. The top is a countertop surface, and underneath it are drawers and a convenient trash can built in. Simply put in a trash bag, close the door or tilt it closed, and the trash can is invisible.
