Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom are both programs commonly used by professional photographers to edit photos. Adobe has included actions in Photoshop that allow users to rapidly apply the same edits to an image. Unfortunately, Adobe did not include this feature in Lightroom. However, you can manipulate Lightroom to apply Photoshop's actions.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Create a droplet for the action. Open Photoshop and select "File>Automate>Create Droplet." Select the action that you want to use in Lightroom. Save the droplet on your desktop.

  2. Step 2

Place the droplet in Lightroom's "Export Actions" folder. In lightroom, select "File>Export." Select "Go to Export Actions Folder Now" from the "After Export" drop-down menu. Explorer or Finder will open displaying the folder. Move the droplet file into this folder.

  3. Step 3

Apply the action. Open the image to which you want to apply the action. Select "File>Export." Select the action from the "After Export" drop-down box in the "Post-processing" section. The action will automatically run in Photoshop.

  4. Step 4

Repeat the action. You can quickly apply the same action to multiple photos. Select "File>Import" to add the photos to the catalog. Select all of the photos. Then, repeat step 3.
