How to Transfer Music to a Motorola Droid
One of the Motorola Droid's many capabilities is as a personal music player, or MP3 player. The Droid's beautiful interactive touch screen and sound clarity join together to provide a superior listening device. Check to make sure your microSD card is inserted and your phone is on.

Insert your data cable into your phone's data port and insert the other end into an available USB port on your computer.

Drag down the notification bar on your phone and select "USB Connected."

Touch the "Mount" button/icon on your Droid's screen.

Click the "Start" menu and select "Computer" or "My Computer" if you are using a Window's PC. Mac users, your Droid phone will show up on the desktop as a new drive.

Click on the icon labeled "Removable Device" or "New Drive" that corresponds to your microSD card on your phone.

Drag and drop any song you want into the "Removable Device" or "New Drive" folder and it will transfer the music to your Droid.

Tips & Warnings
Your Motorola Droid can play the following file types: MP3, AMR-NB/WB, PCM/WAV, AAC, ACC+, eAAC+, MIDI, WMA and OGG Vorbis.
Your Motorola Droid cannot play DRM protected music files.

Maybe it's not the Android! Maybe it's the Apples propietary software. They seem to have a DRM protected format just for this reason. To make it difficult to use on anything but an iPhone. I have 1500+ songs and have NO trouble. Enjoy your iPhone!

Plus, if you're for sure gonna keep that one, you can still transfer what you've already downloaded to a card. Then it'll take it off your phone storage.
