One of the Motorola Droid's many capabilities is as a personal music player or MP3 player. The Droid's beautiful interactive touch screen and the sound clarity join together to provide a superior listening device. Here is how to transfer music onto your Motorola Droid.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Personal Computer running Windows XP, Vista, 7, or Apple Macintosh.
  • A Compatible USB Data Cable
  • Droid Phone
  • MicroSD card installed in phone.
  1. Step 1

    Check to make sure your MicroSD card is inserted and your phone is on.

  2. Step 2

    Insert your data cable into your phone's data port and insert the other end into an available USB port on your computer.

  3. Step 3

    Now drag down the notification bar on your phone and select "USB Connected."

  4. Step 4

    Touch the "Mount" button/icon on your Droid's screen.

  5. Step 5

    If you are using a Window's PC, click the "Start" menu and select "Computer" or "My Computer." If you are using an Apple Computer, skip to step 8.

  6. Step 6

    Click on the icon labeled "Removable Device" that corresponds to your microSD card on your phone.

  7. Step 7

    You can now drag and drop any song you want into the "Removable Device" folder and it will transfer to your Droid.

  8. Step 8

    If you are using an Apple Computer, your Droid phone will show up on the desktop as a new drive.

  9. Step 9

    Drag any music file you want into the "new drive" icon on your desktop to transfer files to your Motorola Droid.

Tips & Warnings
  • Your Motorola Droid can play the following file types: MP3, AMR-NB/WB, PCM/WAV, AAC, ACC+, eAAC+, MIDI, WMA, and OGG Vorbis.
  • Your Motorola Droid cannot play DRM protected music files.
