You can have the dealer or another shop install the custom accessories, or you can install them yourself, if you have the tools and know-how.

Customize a New Chevy Silverado

  • Go to chevrolet.com. A link is in the Reference section of this article.

  • Click on "Vehicles," then "Trucks," then "Silverado" and then "Pick Your Silverado."

  • Select the Silverado model you want to customize. Compare the different Silverado models by clicking on "View Model Overview" provided for each truck model. Click on the "Build Your Own" to build and customize the Chevy Silverado you want to purchase.

  • Enter your ZIP code in the pop-up box. This helps Chevrolet.com offer the customization options for your area. If you do not get the pop-up, check your pop-up blocker under "Internet Options" in your browser.

  • Select the buttons for the trim style and either two-wheel or four-wheel drive. Click "Continue." Or scroll the page down to see a selection of popular customization packages and click "Preview this Configuration" to continue customizing.

  • Select your cab and box from the customization chart. Options usually include short bed, standard bed and long bed. You may need to scroll the page to the right to see all the options. Then select from regular cab, crew cab and extended cab.

  • Select any packages (Texas Edition, Deluxe Chrome, Safety), exterior options (tires and rims, power sunroof), interior options (bucket seats, audio systems, ), powertrain options and dealer installed accessories (roof rack side rails, splash guards, hard shell, rear view camera) that you desire for your customized Chevy Silverado.

  • Click on "Summary" for a summary and price estimate for your new Silverado.
