Step 1
The first thing you must do is find out what stats will be counted for the players to help you draft a quailty team for your league. When drafting your team make sure to pick players that are good in different aeras. Hvaing to many goal scorers might sound good but having some hitters and guys who get PIM's will pay off if your counting those in your league.

Step 2
Goalies are key to winning Fantasy hockey because usually they take up about half of the points and you only have a few of them, so pick wisely. I suggest picking a great goalie early on then picking a back up or starter from a worse team to be your second goalie. Defense is also key they might not score as many goals but they tend to hit and hopefully get you a positive +/-. When picking D try to find ones that play on the power play or are at least in the top four on their teams to ensure they will at least contribute.

Step 3
Last but certainly not least are the forwards. These are your bread and butter in Fantasy leagues. Be sure to pick scorers and set up guys first and in the later rounds find guys who maybe didn't do as well last year and might be due for a breakout season. Guys who were injured all last season might slip under some peoples raders and might be able to be picked up in later rounds. Also be aware of which rookies are playing and where, they will also be surprises being that they have no stats to look at from prevouis seasons.

Step 4
Also make sure to check your waivers and free agent market frequently to see if there are players that could be suiting your rostor better then the ones you have. Do not give up on a player for one or even two bad weeks at least give them a month if their a star player because the second you drop them you know they'll get a hat trick.
