1
Braid your hair in corn rows going straight back or into a circle. If your hair is long and the corn rows go straight back, exceeding the nape hairline, then braiding a circle is recommended.
-
2
Place your lace front wig on your head. Using a fine tip marker, draw a new hairline by following your existing hairline that shows underneath the lace. Draw this new hairline directly onto the lace, being sure you leave at least 1/2 inch inch from your natural hairline and the new one.

-
3
Remove the lace front wig from your head and cut the lace that is hanging in the front of the wig along the line you created.
-
4
Wipe your forehead all the way up to your natural hairline, using a cotton pad and rubbing alcohol. Allow the alcohol to dry completely, then apply the scalp protector all around your front hairline where the lace will lay.
-
5
Apply a thin coat of the wig adhesive to your hairline where the scalp protector is and put your lace front wig on, working from back to front and laying the lace gently onto the adhesive.
-
6
Using the back of your comb, press firmly down on the lace at the hairline. This will make the lace appear to blend with the skin.
-
7
Sew the back of the wig to the corn rows or circle braid you created for additional security. This step is optional, depending on how long you wish to wear your lace front wig.
-
8
Comb and style your lace front wig.
