One of the most common issues with pairing Bluetooth headsets to cell phones is getting the bluetooth unit into pairing mode. With only one button on your Motorola H700, it is essential that you know the pairing process, and to understand the indicator light on the unit.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bluetooth capable phone
  • Motorola H700 Bluetooth headset
  1. Step 1

In the Bluetooth settings menu on your phone, activate Bluetooth wireless and find the option that says "search for new devices." You may need to reference the user's guide for the phone to find this.

  2. Step 2

Make sure the H700 is turned off and the microphone boom is closed. Hold down the call button--this button has a picture of a phone--on the unit until the light surrounding it glows purple.

  3. Step 3

Once the status light has turned purple, open the microphone boom. The purple light should stay on, indicating the unit is in pairing mode. If the purple light is not on or is blinking turn off the unit and repeat Steps 1-3.

  4. Step 4

Activate device search on your cellular phone. "Motorola H700" will appear on the screen. Select the device and confirm that you would like to pair.

  5. Step 5

Your phone should then request a security code. Type in "0000" and press enter. Your phone will display a confirmation message and the H700 will flash blue several times, indicating that they are successfully paired.

Tips & Warnings
  • Once paired, the microphone boom on the H700 can be closed to deactivate and power it down. Reopening the microphone boom will automatically pair with your phone if it is within range. On most phones this can even be done while on a call.
