Chuzzle Deluxe is a downloadable computer game designed by the makers of Zuma and Bejeweled. Chuzzle is similar in game play to Bejeweled, but there are several features that make the game unique. Instead of lining up rows of jewels, with Chuzzle you line up rows of furry, round critters. Chuzzle also features several different playing modes. You can download a free trial or purchase the full game from a handful of online venues.

Things You'll Need:

  • Chuzzle Deluxe
  1. Step 1

Decide which mode you would like to play the game. There are four modes: classic, speed, zen and mind bender. Classic offers little competition. Speed mode is a race against the clock. Zen is unending. Mind Bender is a puzzle mode where you arrange the fuzzies in certain predetermined patterns.

  2. Step 2

Click and drag a Chuzzle (one of the little fuzzies). You can drag entire rows either vertical or horizontal. The goal is to match up three or more Chuzzles to make them disappear, much like Bejeweled. Unlike Bejeweled, however, you can match different combinations. For instance, two blue Chuzzles on top of each other can be removed by placing another blue Chuzzle to the right or left of the two connected ones.

  3. Step 3

In Classic mode, continue dragging and removing matching Chuzzles. After a while, some Chuzzles will become locked. When a Chuzzle is locked, you cannot move that row. In order to complete your moves, drag adjacent Chuzzles to get rid of the locked Chuzzle. As the game progresses, more and more locks will appear, making game play more challenging.

  4. Step 4

In Speed mode, you are given a certain amount of time before locks appear. Choose the easy mode to start off with until you can work your way up to advanced. Get more time by making more Chuzzle-removing combinations. After you run out of possible moves, a box will appear saying you have two scrambles left. After you run out of scrambles, the game is over.

  5. Step 5

In Mindbender mode, select a pattern that you would like to complete. Move the Chuzzles around to match the patterns. It sounds a lot easier than it really is, sort of like a Rubix cube.

  6. Step 6

If you get stuck, keep your pointer off the Chuzzles. A Chuzzle that can be moved will start to blink its eyes. You can also hit the hint button if you get stuck. You get more points (and even a trophy) for not using the hint button.

  7. Step 7

Just for fun, make the Chuzzles do silly things by annoying them or ignoring them. If you leave the Chuzzles alone, they will fall asleep. Make a Chuzzle burp by repeatedly clicking on it. If you hold your mouse over one Chuzzle for a long time it will become angry. Make the Chuzzles dizzy by constantly waving your cursor over a row.
