When it comes to acne and how to get rid of acne forever, the first thing you're going to have to do is to practice good hygiene. Good hygiene is very important, because dirt and excess oil can both cause and exacerbate an acne condition.

If your acne problem is particularly severe and the only way as to how to get rid of acne requires specific prescribed medications such as antibiotics, you'll need to go to a dermatologist. However, most acne problems can be cleared up with over-the-counter preparations. Those that contain benzyl peroxide are very effective; simply apply these creams to clean, dry skin, and you should see acne problems begin to clear up right away.
If you have particularly sensitive skin, you may want to use acne medication preparations that are based on salicylic acid instead of benzyl peroxide. Salicylic acid is quite a bit more gentle to the skin than benzyl peroxide is, but it's still very effective against acne and can prevent and control it quite nicely. -

A third thing you have to remember is that in general, acne does not come out of the blue. There are probably things you can do with your diet to help give you good skin and can help in how to get rid of acne, too.
That means, drink plenty of water and eat fresh healthy foods that include lean proteins, complex carbohydrates, plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, "good" fats like omega-3 fatty acids, olive oil, and those you get from nuts and seeds. Minimize or eliminate greasy junk food (especially during severe outbreaks), because too much saturated and other unhealthy fat can make your skin oily and encourage breakouts. -

Sleeping enough and avoiding stress is important when it comes to how to get rid of acne, too. Acne can be exacerbated by stress and by lack of sleep, so getting enough of both will help ensure that you can get rid of the acne you've got it and keep it from coming back once it's gone.
