Things You'll Need:
- Windows XP with SP2 Setup
- Nero Express
- CD writer
- A blank CD
- A bootable floppy disk

Step 1
Insert a blank CD into the CD writer.

Go to "Start," point to "All Programs," point to "Ahead Nero" and then click on "Nero-Burning Rom."

Select the CD writer that you wish to use to create the bootable CD from the list shown. This is an optional step and may not be displayed, if you have used Nero to write CDs before.

In the "Nero Express" window that opens up, under "What would you like to burn," point to "Data" and then click on "Bootable data disc."

In the "Disk Content" windows that opens up, click on the "Add" button.

In the "Select Files and Folder" Window that opens up, navigate to the place on your hard disk where Windows XP with SP2 set up files are stored.

One-by-one, click on a file or folder and then click on "Add." Repeat this until all the files are added. When you have completed adding all the files, click on "Finished" and then click on "Next."

In the "Select boot medium" window that opens up, you will be asked to insert a bootable floppy disc. Insert the floppy disc and then click on "Next."

In the "Final Burn Settings" window that opens up, click in the "Disc Name:" text box and type "Windows XPSP2" as the name of the CD. You can also give your own name.

Click on the "More" button and then click on the "Write" check box. Unselect all other check boxes.

Click on "Burn" to create the bootable CD.

Insert a blank floppy disk into the floppy drive.

Click on "Start," and then click on "My Computer."

In the My Computer window that opens up, right-click on the "3.5 Floppy (A:)" icon and then click on "Format."

In the "3.5 Floppy (A:)" dialog box that opens, click on the "Create an MOS-DOS start up disk" check box and then click on the "Start" button.

In the "WARNING:" dialog box that shows up, click on "OK," and wait for the process to complete.
