How to Find Darkrai in Diamond

Darkrai is a legendary dark-type Pokemon that has made appearances in numerous Pokemon anime such as "The Rise of Darkrai" and "Sleepless in Pre-Battle!" Unlike the majority of Pokemon, who can only communicate using one word, the Darkrai communicates via human speech. Darkrai makes an appearance in the Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl and Pokemon: Platinum video games. Its abilities are to cause nightmares and to entrap others within a dream state. Darkrai was originally handed out at a Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl promotion hosted by Nintendo and held at Toys-R-Us stores around the country during the summer of 2009 (See References). Those who missed the event can still capture Darkrai using an Action Reply card.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

Method One

1. Plug in the Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl game cartridge and the Action Reply card into your Nintendo DS. Boot up the game and enable "Walk Anywhere" or "Run Anywhere."

2. Go to Canalave City and speak to Sailor Eldridge. He will ask you for a cure for his sick son.

3. Sail to Fullmoon Island from the dock in Canalave City and save the game.

4. Walk from Fullmoon Island East across the water to Newmoon Island. Do not worry about the "Mystery Zone" warning you may get.

5. Follow the path west and then north to Darkrai.

Method Two

1. Plug in the Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl game cartridge and the Action Reply card into your Nintendo DS.

2. Complete the Iron Island stage of the game.

3. Go to Canalave City. Walk to Sailor Eldridge's house. Talk to his son and wife. The boy will immediately fall ill. Sailor Eldridge will request that you get a cure for his son's ailment.

4. Go to the dock in Canalave City and sail to Fullmoon Island. The Cressalia Pokemon will be waiting for you.

5. Examine Cressalia. When you do, it will fly away and leave you with the Lunar Wing. Pick up the Lunar Wing and return to Canalave City.

6. Return to Sailor Eldridge's house and use the Lunar Wing. The boy will be cured.

7. Go to the Poke-Mart. Press the L and R buttons while entering the Poke-Mart until a man in a green suit appears. Talk to the man and he will give you a Member Card.

8. Walk to the locked inn in Canalave City. The inn will no longer be locked. Another man will appear and cause you to fall into a dream state. You will awaken on Newmoon Island.

9. Follow the path west and then north to find Darkrai.
