How to Make a Homemade Gift Box
-
1
Prepare the box lid. Remove the lid from the gift box and place it on your work surface.
-
2
Cut and glue the paper. Using your fancy edged scissors, cut a square out of the decorative paper. You'll want to cut the square small enough so that you can center it on your box lid. Glue the paper to the top of the box lid.
-
3
Prepare ribbon. Using your box lid, take your strip or roll of wide ribbon and run it over the center of the decorative paper square from the left to right side of the box. Using your glue or adhesive tape, attach it to the top of the box. Turn the box lid over to attach the right and left ends of ribbon over the side and into the inside flap of the box lid.
-
4
Attach the decorative saying plate. Use glue or the two-sided tape to attach the decorative saying plate onto the ribbon, so that it is centered on the ribbon and the decorative paper.
-
5
Add rhinestone embellishments. Glue one rhinestone in each corner of the decorative paper square.
