How to Make a Non-Toxic Roach Exterminating Formula to Kill Roaches
If you occasionally see roaches scampering across your floor, walls or counter tops, you may be exposing yourself and your family to some unwanted risks. Roaches often feed on trash then carry bacteria to other foods or areas where foods are prepared, which can trigger food poisoning. Another hazard is that some people are allergic to roaches, and these allergies can also cause asthma problems. Using harsh chemicals to kill roaches can be dangerous for children and pets. You can get rid of roaches using a non-toxic means of extermination. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Wash and dry an empty glass quart jar.
-
2
Cut a standard sized paper towel in half. Hold it next to the side of the jar. Fold the upper part of the towel over the mouth of the jar and tape it to the inside of the jar. Fold the edge of the bottom of the towel underneath the jar and tape it to the bottom of the jar. The piece of paper towel should cover approximately half of the jar. Some species of roaches cannot climb glass, so the paper towel will add traction.

3
Cut a piece of banana peel that is approximately 2 inches long and place it in the jar.
-
4
Place the jar in an area in which you suspect cockroaches are living or traveling. Leave the jar overnight.
-
5
Check the jar each morning. If you have roaches in the jar, attach the jar's lid and place the jar in the freezer for several hours to kill the cockroaches. Throw the dead cockroaches into the trash to dispose of them.
-
6
Replace the banana peel if you trap one or more roaches or if the peel has been there for three to five days. Repeat this process as long as you like for the purpose of trapping roaches.
