How to Remove Your Chest Hair for Good
Chest hair is an ongoing concern for men who are embarrassed to take their shirts off or who are embarrassed of hair showing around their necks, even with a shirt on. Though chest hair is natural, many men want to remove the hair completely. Shaving is a time-consuming process and causes rough stubble to appear soon after. Waxing or tweezing is also time consuming and painful, and hair returns after a week or two. Laser treatments and electrolysis procedures, over time, can permanently eliminate chest hair growth. Does this Spark an idea?

Laser Treatment
-
1
Find a laser hair removal clinic near you. You can search in a phone book or online, and you should request a free consultation.
-
2
Make an appointment after the consultation, if you decide that laser treatment is the right option for you. How long the appointment takes and how much it will cost depend on how much hair you have, how thick the hair is and how sensitive your skin is.
-
-
3
Clean and shave the area to be treated prior to your appointment, or let the clinic do it for you. An anesthetic cream is applied to the skin. Then, pulsed beams of concentrated light are placed directly on the chest hair to destroy the follicles and prevent hair regrowth.
-
4
Allow anywhere from a few minutes to an hour for the procedure, depending on the amount of hair to be removed.
-
5
Make your next appointment, which will be scheduled in about a month. It usually takes between four and six sessions to permanently stop hair growth.
Electrolysis
-
6
Find an electrologist in your area with known qualifications and positive reviews from others. Make an appointment for a consultation. Most reputable electrologists will offer a free consultation.
-
7
Schedule an appointment if you decide that electrolysis is the solution for you. The length of the appointment and how much it costs also depends on how much hair you have and how thick it is.
-
8
Request an anesthetic cream for your skin if it is highly sensitive. The procedure will either use galvanic electrolysis, which causes a chemical reaction that destroys hair follicles, or thermolytic electrolysis, which uses heat to destroy hair follicles. Both methods involve inserting a very fine needle into the hair follicle.
-
9
Allow 15 minutes to an hour for the procedure to be completed.
-
10
Make your next appointment. How many appointments you need will depend on which type of treatment you receive, and on the thickness of your hair.

Tips & Warnings
Electrolysis involves a needle being inserted into each hair follicle, one at a time, and might not be suitable for large areas of hair removal.
