How to Make an Anti-Cellulite Exfoliating Coffee Scrubthumbnail
Coffee is used to help melt away fatty deposits in your legs, thighs and upper arms.

Body scrubs are offered in many spas to help blast away cellulite and tame wrinkles. One such scrub targeting cellulite is a coffee scrub made from standard coffee grounds. The belief that caffeine helps reduce fatty deposits has prompted some cosmetics manufacturers to start using it in their products. Anti-cellulite coffee scrubs can be made at home without dishing out the big bucks for spa treatments. All you need is probably already in your own cupboard.

    Things You'll Need

    • 1/2 cup sugar or sea salt
    • 2 cups brewed coffee grounds
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 3 tablespoons honey (optional)

Place two cups of brewed coffee grounds into a small bowl. Mix them with 1/2 cup of pure, granulated cane sugar, brown sugar or sea salt. Both sugars and salt have exfoliating properties because of their small granules.

Add three tablespoons of olive oil and mix thoroughly. Olive oil is used to moisturize the skin and bind the dry ingredients together. You may also add three tablespoons of honey to increase the mixture's moisture and binding ability.

Take a warm shower, cleansing your skin thoroughly. Apply your scrub while you are still in the shower, without the water running. Massage the scrub into your skin using a circular motion.

Rinse the scrub off of your body with lukewarm water. Ensure all of your scrub is rinsed off. Pat your skin dry with a clean towel and apply lotion if desired. Repeat your scrub session one to two times a week for optimal benefits.
