How to Get Rid of MSN Viruses
MSN viruses are viruses that are spread through the MSN Messenger service and can adversely affect your computer's performance. To prevent getting an MSN virus, never click on any links or open any files from unknown sources. When you have a MSN virus, your computer may run slower or spyware may be installed that can compromise your personal information. Some examples of file names for MSN viruses are "goll.exe," "loadadv455.exe," "one.exe," "drsmartload.exe" and "two.exe." You can use several techniques to get rid of a MSN virus.

Run a scan on your computer using your antivirus software. Run a full system scan to detect and remove any viruses you have contracted from MSN. Make sure your antivirus software is up to date with the latest virus definitions.

Go to the "Add/Remove Programs" menu found under Control Panel. Windows will populate a list of programs installed on your computer. If you see any unauthorized programs that may have been installed from a MSN virus, click "Uninstall" to delete it from your computer.

Stop the virus from running on your computer. Hold down the "Ctrl" "Alt" and "Del" keys simultaneously to open the Task Manager. Click the "Processes" tab. If you see any of the file names associated with the MSN virus, then select "End Process."

Find and delete the file that contains the MSN virus. If you know the file name, you can use the "Search" tool on Windows to locate it. Select "Delete" to send it to the Recycle Bin and then empty the Recycle Bin.
