How to Download Songs From a Computer
When you download songs from a computer, you are copying the files to a different device, whether it be a flash driver or an external hard drive. Typically, it takes only a few moments to download a song from a computer to a device.

Connect the external hard drive or flash drive to your computer. Flash drives are plugged into the USB port, while external hard drives may either be plugged into a USB or Firewire drive, depending on the kind of hard drive you are using.

Open "My Computer" ("Computer" in Vista) and open your removable drive's icon. This opens your drives window and displays all the content currently saved on the device.

Navigate to the location on the computer that houses the songs you want to download. This may either be a file location or a media player such as iTunes.

Click and drag the songs from the file location (or from iTunes) into your removable drive's window. The song will download from your computer to the removable device.

Wait until all the songs have been copied to your drive before disconnecting the device.
