How to Delete Cookies in Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer stores cookies set by websites for a variety of reasons. Analytics cookies, created by Google Analytics and other tracking programs, help websites keeps track of how many individuals visit the site and when someone is a new or returning visitor. Some cookies keep track of your preferences on a site, such as your user ID, the sort method you prefer for a list or other preferences you may have set while visiting a website. Deleting your cookies in Internet Explorer will clear these cookies and any advertising or tracking cookies you may have picked up while surfing.

Instructions

1. Open the "Start" menu and click the "Control Panel" link. Click the "Network and Internet" section.

2. Click the "Internet Options" link. Click the "Delete" button in the "Browsing history" section.

3. Select the check boxes for the items you want to delete, including "Cookies." Click "Delete" and "OK."
