The valve cover gasket in a 2000 Plymouth Neon keeps oil from leaking into the spark plug wells, as well as keeping engine oil from leaking down the side of the engine. When you have an oil leak in the Neon, one of the first places to check is the valve cover gasket. If you notice any oil on the head (the upper part of the engine) of the engine, it's time to replace the valve cover gasket.
