You can use social networking websites like Facebook, LinkedIn and MySpace to build dofollow backlinks. However, because social networking websites often require login to view the content they are not accessible to search engines as dofollow links. If a profile is publicly accessible without login on these social networking websites, then the backlinks with help pagerank. Use your existing account or set up a new account. If you are using an existing account, it is a good idea to clean up your profile making it relavent to your website. -

The five most popular social bookmarking websites are Twitter, Digg, Yahoo Buzz, Stumble Upon, Reddit. Twitter and Yahoo Buzz are nofollow. Digg and StumbleUpon are dofollow, but use of toolbars and redirects make them somewhat useless for backlinks. They are still good for traffic. Backlink submissions to social bookmarking websites work best if you participate in the community. Be a good friend to others and your backlinks will do well at these websites. Backlinking from Articles
You can write articles and creat webpages to backlink to your website. Three of the top places to do this are Ezine.com, Squidoo.com, and HubPages.com. Some article directories, such as eHow, allow do follow backlinks from the author profile. But, backlinks added directly to the articles are designated nofollow if outside eHows website.
Ezine articles do not earn you any money, but they are great for traffic and backlinks.
Squidoo requires you to set up lenses, they pay a small amount for the traffic you generate to their website. In addition, you get great backlinks and increased traffic to your website. Squidoo currently has no limit to the number of backlinks you can create on a lens, but they are considering limiting the number of outbound links allowed on each lens.
HubPages has dofollow backlinks only if your overall hubscore is above 75. Write great hubs and log in regularly to increase your hubscore.
