Although English comes as the standard keyboard layout for computers that are made in America and other places around the world, you may need to change the default language. For example if you live in Ukraine or are studying the language, you may need to change the keyboard from English to Ukrainian. This is not difficult at all because Windows comes equipped with a diverse language pack that includes the Ukrainian phonetic keyboard layout.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to the "Start Menu" and click on the "Control Panel." Select the "Regional and Language Options" icon.

  2. Step 2

Click the "Keyboards and Languages" tab on the top toolbar. Select "Change Keyboards."

  3. Step 3

Click "Add" and scroll through the list of languages until you see "Ukrainian." Choose whether you want the standard Ukrainian keyboard or the enhanced version.

  4. Step 4

Click "Preview" next to the language setting to see how it would appear on the keyboard. Click "OK" to save the changes.

  5. Step 5

Click on the "EN" symbol that stands for English on the right "Start Up" menu. Select "UK" to enable Ukrainian as the default language setting of your computer.
